Black Dyke Band conducted by Robert Childs and the famous British Soprano, Amanda Roocroft will perform the second half of this year’s Great Northern Brass Arts Festival Gala Concert at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester this coming Saturday.
Amanda will sing such popular classics such as Russalk’s Song to the Moon, Bobby Shaftoe and Soldier Soldier. For the firework letting off finale to Amanda’s appearance, Amanda will be joined by Soprano Cornets aces, Kevin Crockford, Alan Wycherley and Paul Duffy to perform Scarborough Fair which has been especially arranged for the concert by Elgar Howarth.
The first half of the Gala Concert will feature Brighouse & Rastrick Band conducted by David King and the 2012 Britich Open Champions, Foden’s Band conducted by Richard Evans.
Tickets are still available for the Gala Evening Concert and all the daytime concerts – Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band, conducted by Phillip McCann (12 noon), The Fairey Band directed by Russell Gray (2.15pm) and The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain conducted by Robert Childs (4.15pm) .
