National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain celebrates the first ten years

When The National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain under the baton of Music Director Dr Nicholas Childs perform the 2.15pn concert at Saturday’s 2013 Great Northern Brass Arts Festival at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, it will be celebrating the first ten years since its inauguration.

One of the great brass band success stories over the last decade, The National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain was the brainchild of Music Director Dr Nicholas Childs and serves to give the best musical opportunities to the finest young brass musicians in the country aged between 10
and 14 years old. As a special feature, the former principal cornet players will be returning to the NCBBGB to perform Bugler’s Holiday.
