The British Open Brass Band Championship presents the 92nd Spring Brass Band Festival at The Winter Gardens Blackpool on Saturday 12th May 2012 from 9.00am
The Grand Shield qualifying contest for the 2012 British Open will take place in the Opera House with the test piece “On The Shoulders of Giants” by Peter Graham. In the Senior Cup, the qualifying contest for the 2013 Grand Shield, the test piece is Martin Ellerby’s “Elgar Variations”. The Senior Trophy qualifying contest for the 2013 Senior Cup will feature another Martin Ellerby work, “Chivalry”.
