Silver Jubilee for Summer School

The Brass Band Summer School is to celebrate 25 years in style at Bromsgrove.

 

Philip Biggs is delighted to announce that the Brass Band Summer School will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the beautiful surroundings of Bromsgrove School in Worcestershire. Also the Brass Band Summer School has a new website - www.brassbandsummerschool.com

 

Plans are well set for the 2009 Brass Band Summer School, which this year commences on Sunday 9th August and runs through to Saturday 14th August. The BBSS's Co-ordinator, Philip Biggs reports that there are already over 90 delegates who have signed up for the longest running brass Summer School. This year the teaching staff includes David Childs, Alan Morrison, Nick Hudson, Owen Farr, Alun Horgan, Steve Sykes and Brian Taylor. The Course Director is Mr Richard Evans. There are still some places available for brass instrumentalists and anyone interested should contact Philip as soon as possible by telephoning 01223 234090 or 07710 505689.

 

As part of the celebrations an entertainment contest will be staged, where Richard Evans and the music staff will select players to form three bands who will prepare and perform a 25 minute programme of music.
