2008 Regent Hall Brass Festival

Philip Biggs is delighted to announce details of some of the headline concerts which will take place
at the 2008 Regent Hall Brass Arts Festival at Regent Hall, Oxford Street, London from Thursday
9th October to Saturday 11th October.

The Friday evening Gala Concert (10th October, 7.30pm) will be performed by the North West
Champions and last year’s National Championship Runners-up, the Fodens Richardson Band.
Earlier in the day at 2.30pm the fabulous Boston Brass from the USA will be appearing to thrill the
anticipated capacity audience in London’s Regent  Hall.

The Saturday night Gala (8.00pm) will see the 2008 All England Masters International Champions
and current Midland Champions, Desford Colliery Band on stage.

Commenting on the Festival, Philip said that he has released the news early as the Regent Hall
Brass Arts Festival has become hugely popular, with sell out audiences over the last eight years.

Plans are well advanced for another highly artistic festival, with the opening concert on Thursday
9th October, together with the National Finals test-piece masterclass, leading up to the Gala
Concerts on Friday 10th October and Saturday 11th October. Details of the other events will be
released shortly.

Tickets are already on sale with the all inclusive festival ticket which covers six events costing £48
and seats for the Fodens, Desford and Boston Brass concerts priced from £9-£16 for each concert.
Tickets can be obtained by telephoning +0044 (0) 1223 234090 or +0044 (0) 7710 505689.

This year’s festival is sponsored by Yamaha and Besson Musical Instruments Ltd
