Dyke return to the Minster

One of the most popular concerts Black Dyke undertake throughout the year in their Cathedral Brass tour is their visit to the magnificent York Minster.

Nicholas Childs commented “York Minster has one of the greatest acoustics and the most stunning architecture the world can offer.  I have carefully selected music that will enhance the glorious sound of  a great brass band, including Wagner’s Procession to the Minster, Elgar’s Nimrod, Pines of Rome by Respighi, Edward Gregson’s newly supplemented Laudate Dominum,  Sullivan’s The Lost Chord, Philp Wilby’s Paganini Variations and with a special performance by the Yorkshire Youth Brass Band, Dreamcatchers by Paul Lovatt-Cooper.”

Tickets available from Theatre Royal in York (01904 623568) £12 main nave and £10 side nave (some restricted viewing) or Bank’s Music (01904 658836)
