Spring Festival Test Pieces

The British Open Brass Band Championships in association with Leisure Parcs has announced the test pieces for the 88th Spring Brass Band Festival to be held on Saturday 10 May 2008 at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool

THE GRAND SHIELD

Test Piece – Vienna Nights - Philip Wilby

First Prize £800 and The Grand Challenge Shield

Second Prize £600 and The Midland Music Trophy

Third Prize £400 and The Saxby Trophy

Fourth Prize £300

THE  SENIOR  CUP

Test Piece –  Elgar Variations - Martin Ellerby

First Prize £600 and The Belle Vue 100 Guniea Challenge Cup

Second Prize £400 and The Jack Fearnley Trophy

Third Prize £300   

Fourth Prize £200

THE  SENIOR  TROPHY

Test Piece  - An Epic Symphony – Percy Fletcher

First Prize £600 and The Senior Trophy

Second Prize £400 and The NWCBBA Trophy

Third Prize £300

Fourth Prize £200

The contest is organised in accordance with the rules of The British Open Brass Band Championships and The Brass Band Registry.
