As part of
the celebrations marking the United States Air Force 60th
Anniversary the Bands of the Royal Air Force, featuring some of the UK’s
finest ensemble musicians and soloists, have put together a sparkling
and inventive series of concerts, full of jazz, film and classical
music. With tunes ranging from the sexy syncopation of the “South
Rampart Street Parade” via Henry Wood’s “Sea Shanties” to Streisand’s
poignant “Evergreen” the concerts promise to provide an evening of
magical entertainment.
The
concerts will be compered by either “Coronation Street” star William
Roache, who served as a Captain with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, or by
ex-RAF pilot and rugby legend Rory Underwood.

Wing Commander Stuart Stirling
