Dyke play York

Last Saturday, The Black Dyke Band played their Summer Gala Concert in Huddersfield Town Hall. Their invitation to former players to join them was happily accepted by Rod Franks, Jim Shepherd and Angelo Bearpark (York artist).

Another highlight was the fact that The Black Dyke Band played their York Eminence cornets for the first time in concert. The instruments had been delivered to the band room previously by Chris Tudball from Band Supplies, their “Dealers of Choice”. Over the next months, The Black Dyke Band will also be supplied with York tenor horns, euphoniums, baritones and basses. This is part of their arrangement with the German musical instrument manufacturers Schreiber & Keilwerth, manufacturers of York brass instruments.
