The first
meeting of the newly elected EBBA Executive Committee took place in
Preston during the weekend of the English National Championships.
This was
the first meeting for new EBBA President Ulf Rosenberg from Norway, and
he welcomed the new and re-elected members to EBBA Executive Committee.
Kurt Bohlhalter, new member for Switzerland was elected Vice President
of EBBA. Kurt has a vast experience in contest management and has been
involved in many events in Switzerland in addition to being a Management
Consultant in his professional life. His experience will be invaluable
to the EBBA Executive. Also attending the meeting was new Secretary
Berit Handegard from Norway, new treasurer Raf Anseeuw from Belgium, and

On a sad
note EBBA were sorry to receive the resignation, for personal reasons,

to EBBA over the past few years and wish him well for the future. EBBA
has invited the British Federation of Brass Bands (BFBB) President,
Robert Morgan, to step in as interim member till the next General
Meeting in Stavanger in 2008. Robert was a member of the Executive
Committee for a number of years, and we welcome his valuable
contribution to the organisations work.
