Minear Charity Concert

As many people in the Cornish Banding World will know, Peter Minear (cornet player with the St Austell Town Band and Musical Director of St Pinnock Band) over the summer was diagnosed with cancer. Since the diagnosis in June Peter has been planning a Charity Brass Band concert which will raise funds for the Sunrise Centre at Treliske hospital where Peter is currently having treatment. The concert is also going to be a celebration of Peter's 50th year in the Brass Band movement and therefore a small percentage raised is to be shared between the 3 bands that he has been associated with over the past 50yrs, St Dennis, St Pinnock and St Austell.

The concert is to be performed by the BAYV Band under the direction of Dr Robert Childs on Saturday 18th November 2006, 7:30pm at the Carn Brea Leisure Centre, Nr Redruth.

Tickets cost £12.50p each and can be obtained either by;

sending a stamped address envelope along with cheque made payable to 'Minear Charity Concert' to Peter Minear, Belle View, Trethurgy, St Austell, Cornwall, PL26 8YQ.
