Symphony Hall Gala Concert |

Symphony Hall's annual Brass Gala Concert takes place on Sunday 10 September at 2pm - part of an exciting weekend of banding which also sees the 154th British Open Brass Band Championship at the Hall on Saturday 9 September.
Sunday's Brass Gala Concert will offer some of the Championship bands a chance to demonstrate the excellence of which they are capable without the competitive element of the previous day. The Gala concert is the climax of a series of Brass on Sundays concerts which run throughout the year at Symphony Hall.
This year's concert line-up consists of four bands: The Buy as You View Cory Band, The Black Dyke Band, The Yorkshire Building Society Band and the Fodens Richardson band, who will be including in their programme an appearance by the BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Soloist 2006 - tuba virtuoso Ben Thomson. Music to be performed will include works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Elgar Howarth. |
