Poles Apart on the Road

Riki McDonnell and Alexandra KerwinAfter the successful launch of the Poles Apart CD (on the Doyen Solo Series Label) at The All England International Masters last month, Riki McDonnell and Alexandra Kerwin have been inundated with concert requests from all over Australasia. .

 

First stop for the Poles Apart duo will be Brisbane on July 27th, where they will perform solos and the title track of the CD (penned by Simon Kerwin) with Brisbane Excelsior Band conducted by Howard Taylor. It will be a welcome return to Brisbane for Riki and Alex, as they took part in the successful UK tour in May with the band.

 

On August 20th Riki and Alex will travel to Invercargill on the South Island of New Zealand, where they will again perform solos from the Poles Apart CD and their other recordings. Ascot Park Hotel Brass of Invercargill Band will accompany them.

 

Mid September sees the pair jetting off to Perth in Western Australia to appear in concert with Canning City Brass Band conducted by Adrian Doyle. Riki and Alex will also be giving seminars and lessons during their time in Australia.

 

With more concerts being booked for the next twelve months it will be a busy but exciting time for them both.
