Clarence Adoo concert

The Clarence Adoo Brass Band is getting together for the fourth time to give a concert to raise funds for the Clarence Adoo Trust.

The concert is being given at The Salvation Army, Palmerstone Road, Boscombe, Bournemouth, BH1 4HP on Saturday 24th June at 7pm and is being hosted by Boscombe Salvation Army Young People's Corps.

Once again, maestro Bramwell Tovey is making a trip to the UK especially to conduct the concert. Mr Tovey is a world-renowned classical music conductor currently holding positions with orchestras in Vancouver and Luxembourg as well as appearing regularly with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. The Principal Cornet player will be Stephen Wilkinson, currently Principal Cornet of The Fairey Band who will be playing the cornet solo Jubilance.

The band is made up of a variety of brass players who have worked and played alongside Clarence over the years. Professional players will include Patrick Harrild (tuba), Jonathan Bareham (horn), Derek Bishop (bass trombone) and Chris Deacon (soprano cornet). Salvationist players will include current ISB members (Alan Losh, Iain Parkhouse, Howard Bowes, Stephen Moulton and Carl Woodman) and former ISB members (Graham Lawrence, Trevor Caffull and Stephen Yalden). Other personnel include Paul Woodward (co-Principal Trombone, Black Dyke Band), Phil Randell (former champion tenor horn soloist of Great Britain) and John Starkes who will be performing the euphonium solo The Better World.

Balcony Reserved tickets have all been sold but there are still Downstairs Un-Reserved seats available from John Starkes at j.starkes@ntlworld.com priced only £4!
