A spokesman on behalf of
the band said, “This is a very exciting time for the band and we are all
looking forward to working with Peter. It is not everyday someone like
Peter Bassano walks up to you and asks if he can be your Musical
Director. To be honest, we are stunned, but highly delighted that Peter
has shown interest in the band and we will do everything in our power to
make sure that this opportunity is maximized and that the band reaches
its full potential. It is also a very exciting time for music lovers and
brass band enthusiasts, as Peter Bassano will be regularly conducting
the band in Cambridge and the surrounding area.”
The band has also
expressed a strong desire to find a sponsor. There has never been a more
exciting time to have your company associated with such an important
name in the business!
