For the first time in the bands history, The Long Eaton Silver Prize band is to record a CD. This is to commemorate the bands centenary which takes place next year. It is hoped that the CD will be available in the New Year.

 

The band conducted by Sharon Stansfield is very busy preparing for several Christmas concerts including a civic concert at Freisland sports centre Sandiacre on Monday 5th December and also a free concert at the band club on Saturday 17th December.

 

The training band have also been busy performing locally and their future concerts include playing in Long Eaton Town centre on Friday December 9th.

 

The band is also pleased to announce that generous donations towards their centenary celebrations have been received from the Long Eaton Rotary and Ilkeston Lions.
