Dyke welcomes back old players

In Black Dyke's last concert of the year Nicholas Childs would like to invite any players who have played with Black Dyke to join them in a grand mass blow at Huddersfield Town Hall, Sunday, 18th December, 2005.

Nicholas Childs commented "I know this will be one of the highlights in our celebrations this year to welcome back past players and indeed conductors to share the platform on this great evening".

The format of the concert will be in two sections. The first section will feature the current band and the section half will feature the current band with ex players and a grand reunion of everyone associated with the band.

Nicholas Childs commented "it is obviously impossible to get in touch with every ex-member and it is hoped through the communication of bands people and the media together with 'the brass band bush telegraph' working to its optimum bringing together a really fantastic spectacle.

Anyone interested should contact Band Administrator, Geoffrey Whiteley on 07976 825451 or via email to geoffw@blackdykeband.co.uk

"All the band are looking forward to a thrilling evening sharing the platform with people that have dedicated themselves in making what is Black Dyke" Geoff Whiteley said.

Tickets are available for the Huddersfield Town Hall Concert at Kirklees Tourist Office telephone number 01484 223200 from 18th November, 2005 or prior to that date on 07976 825451
