BA celebrate VE/VJ anniversary

Sunday 11th September will see British Airways Band team up with local British Legion Standard Bearers to put on a spectacular concert in celebration of the year peace broke out in Europe and Japan in 1945.

Ealing Town Hall will be festooned with Union Jacks and parachutes, with an air-raid siren being used in the performance to add ambience to music such as ‘When a Nightingale sang…’ and ‘Rule Britannia’ featuring Soprano Chloe Wright.

“It was great to be invited by George Bowden, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, to participate in such an important celebration after he heard us in concert earlier this year” said Musical Director Jon Brigden.

The concert begins at 6.00pm and tickets are available from the London Borough of Ealing Ticket & Information Hotline which is 020 8825 8016, Monday to Thursday, 10.00am to 4.00pm priced £ 5
