New Fodens E Flats

Following the recent press release concerning the departure of  basses Phil Green and Toby Hobson, Fodens are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Hughes and Les Neish.

Paul is a 4th year student at the RNCM where he studies with James Gourlay and was previously a member of Sellers. Paul joins from BT where he was their solo E flat bass player.

Les is regarded as one of the leading bass players in the country and is currently a member of the tuba group 'Tubalate' and was previously the solo E flat bass player with Faireys.

Speaking about the recent signings Mark Wilkinson stated 'The organisation are extremely pleased to announce the signings of Paul and Les who are both excellent players and bring a wealth of experience to the band. Les made his first official performance with Fodens on a recent cd recording of Darroll Barry works where he performed the Darrol Barry tuba concerto. Due to a prior booking in the Czech Republic Les will be unable to play with the band at the forthcoming British Open but we are grateful to Phil Green who will return to Fodens after the summer break to provide cover up to the contest.'
