Scottish Co-op decline European invite |

Scottish National Champions, Scottish Co-op have taken the decision to decline their invitation to next year's European Championships in Gronigen. The band has released the letter issued to the contest organisers.
"With great regret, I must advise you that the Scottish Co-op Band declines your kind invitation to appear in the 2005 European Brass Band Championships.
This decision has not been taken lightly and followed lengthy debate.
Unfortunately, fiscal realities mean that we are unable to justify the considerable costs involved in attending next year's event in Groningen.
The Scottish Co-op Band wishes you every success with the championships in 2005."
