London International Wind Band Festival 2005

On July 3, 2005 the London International Wind Band Festival will be organised for the second year. Imagine the thrill your musicians will have when performing for an international audience on stage at The Anvil Hall, a first class concert hall with especially good acoustics for wind and brass ensembles.

The Festival features an adjudicated concert, workshops, and clinics with an outstanding faculty of internationally recognized wind band leaders.  This faculty includes composer Philip Sparke, City of London Wind Band Artistic Director Geoffrey Brand, and Keith Allen, conductor of the exceptional Birmingham Symphonic Winds (first English band invited to perform at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago).

Any symphonic wind or brass ensemble (school, university, adult and youth) are welcome to be placed on one of eight positions. Each band will be adjudicated to the standards of the National Concert Band Festival of the UK and will receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze award based on their performance. The first year’s festival was a resounding success, with participation of Wind Ensembles and Bands from California, Virginia, England, Wales, and Slovenia!

Besides participation in the festival, Creative Music Tours (Wens Reizen bv) from the Netherlands can organise additional performances for your ensemble, including transport, accommodation, restaurants etc. in any kind of venue.
