Austrian instrument maker to exhibit in UK

Schagerl handcrafted brass instruments will be visiting the UK (London and Manchester) in October.

Schagerl trumpets are played the world over in leading orchestras, big bands and by jazz and classical soloists. They can be heard in orchestras as far away as Adelaide and Sydney in Australia, Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Minnesota in the USA, Bergen, Helsinki, Stockholm in Scandinavia as well as all over the rest of Europe including Austria, France, Germany, Hungary and most recently the UK. (listen carefully to the latest Lord of the Rings !)

The trumpets (both piston and rotary valve models) will be available for anyone to try on Friday 15th October at the Royal College of Music, Prince Consort Road, London from 16:00 - 17:30 and at the Royal Northern College of Music, Oxford Road, Manchester on Monday and Tuesday 18th and 19th October from 10:00 - 19:00.

The trumpets have been developed over the last ten years ago by Robert Schagerl and legendary former Vienna Philharmonic principal trumpet, Hans Gansch and include models for all styles and situations. the rotary trumpets come in three basic designs, the "German", the "Viennese" and the new "Europa" model. Bb, C and Piccolo trumpets are available in piston valve configuration with a range of standard and tuning bell options as well as flugel horns and the amazing new "Gansch Horn" designed for Mnozil Brass trumpeter, Thomas Gansch.

In addition to the Schagerl are delighted to be able to introduce to the UK, the new "Aurora" trombone line, currently being used in the Vienna Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras.
