The Scottish Brass Band Association are
pleased to announce that the adjudicators for this year's Scottish Open
Championships will be David Read, Roy Newsome and Chris Wormald. The
contest will be held in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Sunday 28th
November and the following 16 bands will perform their chosen test-piece
Dances and Arias by Edward Gregson.

The Scottish Youth Brass Band Championships will take place on the same
day in various areas of the GRCH. Adjudicator and entry details for this
event will be released in the next few weeks.
The Sunday evening gala concert will feature Whitburn Band, Newtongrange
Silver Band, Scottish Junior and Open Solo Champion Katrina Marzella,
150 voices of Inverclyde Schools Choir and leading Scottish folk group,
The Whistlebinkies. The show will be presented by Alasdair Hutton and
will feature an eclectic programme, which will include the World Premier
of Andrew Duncan's Baritone Concerto, to be performed by Katrina
Marzella and Whitburn Band.
Ticket prices are £5 (£4 concessions) for the contest - permitting entry
to the Scottish Open and all sections of the Youth Championships.
Concert tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) with all tickets available

In keeping with the Association's policy of two adjudicators for each
section of the Scottish Championships, the following Adjudicators have
been appointed for the 2005 contest to be held in Dundee's Caird Hall on
12/13th March 2005.
