Stavanger prepare for UK visit

Stavanger Brass Band plans are now well advanced for their forthcoming visit to the UK in September.

 

Arriving in Manchester on the morning of Thursday 16th September, the band will go straight to Salford for rehearsals with their Professional Conductor, Professor David King in preparation for the World of Brass concert with Yorkshire Building Society Band at Symphony Hall on Saturday 18th September.

 

Leaving from Salford in the early afternoon, Stavanger will then head off to North Wales where they will share the concert stage with Beaumaris Band. Stavanger will be conducted by their resident conductor Morten Hansen. Beaumaris Band will be conducted by Selmer Simonsen,

 

The following morning it’s back to Salford for Stavanger and final preparations for the major concert at Birmingham on Saturday before taking to the motorways again, this time its to Huntingdon and a concert in the Hinchingbrooke Brass Series organised
by Philip Biggs Brass Festivals.

 

The following day the band are very much looking forward to attending the British Open Championship at Symphony Hall, Birmigham before their eagerly awaited Gala Concert performance with the Yorkshire Building Society Band under the baton of
Professor David King.
