Fodens commence self-promotion concerts on a high note

Fodens Richardson Band held the first in a number of self promotional concerts at the 'Clonter Opera Theatre' Swettenham on the 26th June before a capacity audience. The concert entitled 'A night at the opera' featured the Fodens Richardson Band and two opera singers, Kate Brian (soprano) and Dominica Matthews (mezzo soprano) who sang duets and arias in a programme that included many operatic favorites. The concert was arranged by the bands Chairman of the trustees Steven Sebire and proved a huge success.

Amongst guests present were the Chief Excecutive of Congleton Borough Council Glyn Cambers, Reg Shallcross from Sandbach Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Councillor John Moore and the Chief Excecutive of South East Cheshire Enterprise Peter Whiers who are all behind a multi million pound bid to build the 'Saxon Centre' under the 'Market Towns Initiative' . The 'Saxon Centre' is a purpose built complex that will have an arts and cultural centre, Chamber of Commerce, learning centre and multi purpose entainment thearte and rehearsal facilities that will house the Fodens Richardson Band'.

Fodens Richardson have a number of other exciting self promotional concerts planned featuring major artists that will be reported on in due course.
