BonesQuad are the latest
exciting brass group to come out of the Royal College of Music. They are
hosting their summer recital in the Recital Hall at the Royal College of
Music on 21st June, 7pm. Their programme includes an eclectic mix of music
from Bach to Lennon/McCartney, some original trombone quartet music as well
as some amazing arrangements.
BonesQuad consists of four
young professional trombonists who all studied at the Royal College of Music
in London. The quartet was first formed in 2002, the founder members being
Selina Leleu, Amy Wetmore, Jonathan Stokes and Andrew Clennell. Recently
they fought off strong competition to win the RCM brass ensemble prize
(2003).
Being dedicated to the
development of live music in the community BonesQuad has established strong
relationships with educational establishments working with organisations
including the Royal Albert Hall education department. We have attended
master classes and performed with the foremost trombonists in the world,
including Roger Argente, Eric Crees, Peter Harvey, Michael Hext and the
London Philharmonic Orchestra Trombone Section.
Having originated from
vastly different musical backgrounds, the members of BonesQuad blend
together to produce a diverse and talented ensemble.
